Poclain Releases its 2025 Sustainable Development Report
One of the year's standout achievements came on the climate front: after three years of rigorous data collection, our greenhouse gas reduction targets for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 were officially approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming our trajectory toward a 42% absolute reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 emissions and a 25% absolute reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, compared with 2022. Our climate strategy was collectively built based on projects and products already in the pipeline as well as new opportunities identified.
Tangible Results from around the world
Between 2022 and 2025 alone, we have already cut Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 23%, Scope 3 emissions by 24%, and water withdrawal across the Group by 30%, this reveals concrete results born from the everyday efforts of industrial teams, energy correspondents and engineers.
This momentum extended well beyond emissions, some examples, we deployed Zei, a new data collection tool strengthening our carbon reporting ahead of full CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) compliance by 2028. We advanced our ecodesign ambitions through new training modules and a Proof of Concept on our ML04 motor, with a second already planned on the eWheel solution. We closed the year with 27 ISO/IATF certifications, up from 20 in 2024, and reduced waste volumes from 8,695 to 5,527 tonnes since 2022.
A Culture Where Everyone Plays a Part
None of this would be possible without our People, hereafter some highlights:
- Nearly 100 employees trained in climate change by participating in the Climate Fresk workshops
- A new CERTIMETAL accreditation for our operators
- For the third year running, a 100% pass rate at our O'TECH production school all reflects a culture where everyone plays a part
- We also reinforced our safety inspections, working towards a culture of Zero accidents
These efforts were also recognised externally, with EcoVadis Silver medal awarding the Poclain Group for the second year running, placing us in the top 15% of all companies it rates worldwide. Furthermore, we continued support for the United Nations Global Compact and its ten principles.
An Ambitious, Science-Based Trajectory
Looking ahead, our roadmap to 2030 stays firmly on course, pairing an ambitious, science-based decarbonisation trajectory with equally demanding targets on water, eco-design and social performance.
