Poclain has reached a major strategic milestone to support skills development and address the challenges of reindustrialization in the Hauts-de-France region. The company becomes the first corporate training organization certified by UIMM* with the CERTIMETAL accreditation for the certification “Operator on CNC Machine Tool for Material Removal.”

* The « Union des industries et métiers de la métallurgie » is the largest sub-federation of the Mouvement des Entreprises de France, the French largest union of employers.

Poclain, a Training Pioneer

By becoming the first UIMM-certified player in the area, Poclain confirms its pioneering role in technical training.

This certification is not just recognition for Poclain. It embodies a long-term vision: a stronger, more competitive, and more attractive French industry.

Poclain has always been a trailblazer when it comes to training.

“Poclain has always been a trailblazer when it comes to training. Today, with this certification, the company is leading the way and, I hope, will inspire other organizations to follow the path of training,” says Anne-Sophie Claverie, Employment & Skills Director at UIMM Picardie.

In a context marked by a shortage of talent in machining professions, this initiative provides a concrete solution: training, certifying, and promoting expertise. Thanks to this accreditation, Poclain will be able to deliver qualifications and support adults in career transitions, thereby strengthening the local industrial environment and contributing to reindustrialization.

“This certification is the result of collective work and a rigorous process. We had to compile a complete application and demonstrate compliance at every stage,” explains Philippe Rigodon, trainer at the Verberie plant.

Leveraging on Poclain's Training Center

The Poclain Hydraulics Training Center played a central role in this initiative. Thanks to its structure, it is a key player in skills development, not only for our employees but also for other companies seeking qualified profiles.

This training approach will enhance employee value by offering a diploma that validates their skills and will also help improve flexibility and performance at our industrial sites.
“For our operators, this certification is true recognition. It allows them to showcase their expertise and access qualification-based career paths,” emphasizes Nolwenn Tourneroche, Group Training Coordinator.

The priority is now to roll out this training program for employees who are not yet certified.
