Order Your Poclain Products Directly On Our eShop
Poclain has built its reputation on offering custom solutions that fit into its applications like a glove. The sales model requires that client and supplier work together over several months to size and tailor the solution before going into production.
This year, Poclain is launching an alternative model that gives buyers the freedom to instantly compare, select, purchase, and follow up on their orders via an eShop. The project, whose implementation begins in September 2023, is set to ramp up in stages, starting with distributors and spare parts.
An eShop for standard products and spare parts
Poclain’s eShop is an extranet where the users will be granted credentials to access pricing and ordering. The service primarily targets our distributors who know our technology and need a fast and dependable channel to order parts and place repeat orders for first-mount products. The service also protects our distributors, as OEMs located in zones managed by distributors will not be able to order via the eShop. As for existing direct customers, they will be able to order complete products and spare parts online, based on a pre-established list.
1,500 part numbers featured in the eShop, and growing
All internet users will be able to consult specifications, drawings and accessories for 1,500 existing standard products spanning Poclain’s catalog. Users with credentials will access a wider offering and be able to shop either by part number or by filtering based on product specifications. In its final version, users will also have a configurator that builds the component specifications according to the application.
Payment terms and lead times
The eShop payment terms and lead times will be identical to offline orders. Having successfully gone through pilot testing with a European customer, the eShop is now accessible to Poclain ‘s Pacific and North American distributors. As of January 2024, the eShop will open to more distributors and OEMs and its offering will continue to grow.
