Our innovative electrohydraulic solutions

Poclain has developed braking solutions for tractors based on an electrohydraulic design. This universal design allows you to fine-tune parameters to each model’s or machine size’s performance.

Our innovative braking solutions can cover not only your current requirements, but also opens the door for you to use them on future machine iterations, starting with trailer braking:

This electrohydraulic braking offer is ready for use and in line with future braking architectures that will require direct or remote brake piloting. Poclain’s brake solutions open the possibility to be used with other vehicle dynamics control systems for the best operator driving experience.

Electrohydraulic trailer brake valves - VBT

Poclain Hydraulics provides programmable designs and solutions to control either single or dual line braking valves with our VBT valve range. Product parameters can be electronically controlled and adjusted to deliver optimal performance on various machine sizes.

Trailer braking function can be provided with a modular braking solution, or in one compact package.

A single valve for use across your range of tractors/machines

Concept frame:

  • Electro hydraulic piloting and proportional braking
  • Via integrated ECU or machine-embedded ECU
  • With integrated hydraulic redundancy
  • OVERRIDE - Electric emergency stop (on/off or prop.)

Nominal technical parameters:

  • Pressure supply up to 220bar
  • Trailer brake pressure up to 130 bar
  • Flow to the brakes up to 70l/min

2WD and 4WD with the steering assist brake valves

VB3-0D0 Steering assist brake valves are available in compact and all-in-one design with integrated electro control valve to cut off steering assist braking (right/left side braking) at high vehicle speed.

We use an electro-hydraulic control of steering assist function that meets the EU regulation with mandatory automatic connection of right and left braking circuits above 40 km/h for both two wheel braking (2WD) or four wheel braking (4WD). Also, trailer brakes are enabled above 12km/h.

Braking actuation remains mechanical via pedals.

For other two wheel braking (2WD) tractor global markets outside of the EU, we provide steering assist brake valves without integrated electronic control that are even more compact.

VB3-ODO valves allow:

  • Braking to both axles (dual circuit: F1/F2 + PTAV)
  • Electrical control right/left connection for road mode
  • Automatic disabling of front brakes when assisting in turning

Park brake modulating valve i.e. Parklock electrohydraulic brake valve meets EU regulation

Poclain‘s park lock brake solution has long integrated an electro hydraulic design, upgraded for EU regulation requirements, with our VB3-00E offer.

We can provide an optimal selection of two types of designs, compliant with the EU market regulations, depending on the machine’s brake system architecture. This is how we help you meet optimal expected machine braking system performance.

Accumulator charging and priority valve

The accumulator-charging valve for tractor is available in many forms, as standalone or combined with other functions.
