Valve Offering 2025

Hydraulic valves are the essential control components positioned between the pump—the source of the flow— and the motor or cylinder—the actuator that performs the work.  While pumps and motors tend to take the spotlight for delivering pressure, flow, torque  and power— valves are critical for regulating flow, pressure and direction. They ensure that hydraulic systems perform reliably, efficiently and safely. Often considered as off-the-shelf parts, valves are proving to be fundamental components of hydraulic systems thanks to recent developments and redefined segmentation.

Enhanced Delivery, Quality, and Focus

In recent years, Poclain’s Ziri valves team in Slovenia has undergone a strategic transformation to better serve our Focus Markets and Key Customers, through improved delivery performance and internally improve focus on efficiency and quality of our core offer. We have streamlined our valve portfolio to better focus on our core offer.

Valves are now segmented by function, creating added value to our customers and strengthening the strategic focus on our core offering. These functional families now form our Motion Control Valves (VMC) portfolio, with revised model designations for easier selection and integration.

The Poclain's Motion Control Valves Portfolio

  • Valves for Wheel Drive Applications: Traction control valves, free-wheeling/on-demand valves, exchange and flushing valves, combined valves, etc.
  • Valves for Tool Drive Applications: Swing drive valves, selector/diverter valves, directional control valves, multifunction valves, etc.
  • Brake Valves (VB): Dedicated to power braking solutions

Proven Projects and New Product Highlights

Our valve evolving range has already delivered results through multiple successful projects and product developments, including:

  • KV-6/2-25 Diverter Valve, a low-pressure drop valve that improves overall machine efficiency
  • Medium-Duty Pump-Flanged Flow Divider with a low-pressure drop in bypass —a key success factor in electrohydraulic machines
  • Directional Control Valves and Selector Valves for Wood-Chippers, for demanding forestry applications
  • New-Gen Free-Wheeling Valve VDF-H15, with lower pressure drop and higher flow rates — bridging the gap between H15 and H25 valve sizes

Innovation Ahead

Poclain continues to push the boundaries of hydraulic valves performance. Upcoming innovations include:

  • An Ag Combine AssistDrive Solution: tailored to meet the unique demands of agricultural machinery working in rough terrains (slopes, mud and sand).
  • High-End Selector Valve Designed for Tracked Equipment: a high-performance selector valve with low-pressure drop for mobile shredders, horizontal drilling machines, vertical drills, rail-road machines; It will divert flow efficiently between track drive and tool drive.
  • Combined Function Valves for Complex Hydraulic Systems: that integrate multiple functions, such as free-wheeling and traction control, in one compact and efficient design
  • A KV10 Directional Valve Optimization Project: to increase performance of our directional control valves offering
  • Integrated Electronics into Valves, e.g. position sensors for advanced transmission systems
