Yanmar training at Poclain

Yanmar Vineyard Solutions SAS (YVSS), based in Epernay, specializes in vineyard technologies. Their flagship product, the YV01, an autonomous machine highly regarded by leading vineyards for soil management and vine treatment, is equipped with a Poclain hydraulic transmission.

In September, seven YVSS employees attended a technical training session led by Stéphane Judlin, a trainer at the Poclain Hydraulics Training Center (PHTC), focused on the MK04 motor and PM10 pump.

At Poclain, we highly value these opportunities to engage with our clients’ teams, whether during design, commissioning, or training phases, each step provides an opportunity to best meet the needs of end users.

To participate in this training, knowledge of hydraulics and its fundamentals is essential. We disassembled and reassembled MK04 components, sharing best practices and safety rules,
PHTC Trainer, Stéphane Judlin, explained.

A Cutting-Edge Straddle Tractor

Yanmar’s autonomous sprayer robot is used in the narrow rows and steep slopes of Champagne, as well as in Burgundy. Launched in 2023, the YV01 is revolutionizing vineyard practices by reducing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing safety.

Yanmar Autonomous Vineyard Robot

Poclain’s compact hydraulic transmission system is perfectly suited to the machine’s needs. The MK04 motor, integrated into the robot’s tracks and paired with the tandem PM10 pump, helps protect vineyard soils. The small-displacement PM10 pump is compatible with the electronic controls of autonomous or remote-controlled machines.

This transmission solution enables the robot to climb slopes as steep as 45% and work autonomously at a consistent speed of 4 km/h.
