POCLAIN HYDRAULICS D.O.O. COMPETES IN MARATHON FRANJA

For the first time since beginning in 1982, the 39th Marathon Franja was held in September and not June as usual (due to Covid). This is the Slovenian national bike weekend.

Respecting the rules of national institute for public health, only 1000 cyclists were able to join the competition (i.e. 500 cyclists on the short distance and the other half on the long distance).

This year, five cyclists from Poclain Hydraulics d.o.o. joined the Sunday competition: three on the short 97,5km distance (Gordana Pagon, Dušan Benedik, Anže Žakelj) and two on the long 156km distance: (Janez Raztresen, Anže Čelik). All of the Poclain Hydraulics employees in the event successfully completed the marathon.

Maraton Franja je bil letos prvič organiziran v mesecu septembru (zaradi koronavirusa SARS-Cov-2) in ne junija, kot je to v običaju vse od prve organizacije leta 1982. Temu dogodku lahko rečemo kar slovenski kolesarski vikend.

Na osnovi priporočil NIJZ, se je maratona lahko udeležilo vsega 1000 kolesarjev (tj. 500 kolesarjev na daljši trasi, preostala polovica pa na krajši trasi).

Letos se je nedeljskega maratona udeležilo pet kolesarjev iz podjetja Poclain Hydraulics d.o.o.: trije na krajši razdalji 97,5 km (Gordana Pagon, Dušan Benedik, Anže Žakelj), dva pa na daljši razdalji 156 km (Janez Raztresen, Anže Čelik). Ne glede na razdaljo, pa so vsi kolesarji podjetja Poclain Hydraulics d.o.o. uspešno zaključili traso.
