Poclain Family Day, A Great Success

On this first weekend of June, the sun was shining for this Family Day. Employees had the opportunity to show their relatives around the Verberie site, the French headquarters of the Poclain Group. 70 employees worked very hard to ensure the success of this eagerly awaited event. A total of 1,600 visitors, from all ages, took advantage of the tree-lined grounds. 

Tours, activities and highlights on our industry

After being welcomed at the entrance by our teams and the partners, the Poclain Foundation, the Amicale des anciens (Poclain retired people association), schools (Proméo, Formul'UT, O'Tech...), visitors enjoyed the many activities available. They could try the Innovation Hub's augmented reality applications and discover 3D printers in action. 

The test center organized guided tours and the prototyping department offered a model-building workshop. The Poclain training center was on hand to show its digital space and to introduce visitors to hydraulics basics with a game. 

On the factory side, visitors discovered how engines are made, accompanied by on-site in a tour of the plant. 

Demonstrations on the test track and eco pasture

On the test track, aboard a demonstration truck, lucky visitors were able to see how vehicles equipped with a Poclain solution are tested. 

Not far away, on one of Poclain's eco-pasture zones, the Esat de l'Arche (an institution helping people with disabilities to integrate or reintegrate into society and the workplace) there was a demonstration of a sheepdog at work and the preservation of biodiversity through sheep farming. In the same spirit, a speaker hosted a beekeeping stand. 

Time to relax and play

After the effort, comes comfort! A well-deserved break was provided in the relaxation area, with refreshments, crêpes, homemade ice creams, bounce houses and face painting.

In addition, a basketball game showcased the Poclain Founadation's commitment to the Apprentis d'Auteuil in their mission to support youth.
