Poclain Celebrates Its 2 000 000th Motor In The Czech Republic

We proudly celebrate the production of our 2 000 000th motor in our Czech plant, one of the biggest Poclain facilities. This plant increased its production capacity by more than 20% in 7 years. As we aim to constantly grow our teams in Brno, we are still recruiting operators of CNCs.

In April, we celebrated the manufacturing of Brno’s plant’s 2 000 000th motor. Our Czech team quickly grew in the last 10 years and increase its payroll by 50%. The plant production capacity increased by more than 20% in 7 years (+21% for the motors production and +87% for the cam production). Brno has therefore became one of the group’s biggest facilities. We expect the plant to keep growing and are currently recruiting CNC operators of CNCs.

Laurent Bataille & Pascal Magueur visited the plant to celebrate

At the end of April, our President, Laurent Bataille, and our Industrial Director, Pascal Magueur, visited the plant to celebrate this milestone with the local teams. During their visit, they toured the plant and offices and attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Laurent Bataille applied the final label to the motor. The ceremony was also an opportunity to talk about the history of the plant, its contribution to the Group, and its plans for the future. After manufacturing 122 000 motors last year, we expect to have much higher volumes, close to 130 000 in 2023. The Brno plant, created in 1992, will also support other Poclain locations by delivering motor cams.

The 2 000 000th Motor is an MSE 05

Our 2 000 000th motor is an MSE 05 with a T brake option, dedicated to wheel drive for agriculture or harvester heads.

The MS05 motor is part of our 4th generation motors range and has widely contributed to the growth of our company, along with our MS02. This year, Poclain produced 82 000 MSE05 motors.

This type of motor is particularly popular thanks to its compactness, robustness, and versatility. You can find it on more than 100 applications such as forklifts, mini-loaders, skid steer loaders, suspended locomotives, or harvester heads.

Increasing our capacity to meet customers’ expectations

Achieving such a milestone would not have been possible without our teams, from manufacturing to aftersales, group position design, sales, and sourcing.

Our Brno plant is continuously increasing capacity on our key product line such as MK motors to meet the market growing need. This goes through the installation of new machines, the automatization of our processes, and the development of our teams. Over the last 6 years, we have invested an average of more than 4 million € per year in the plant, mostly for machining.
