English version

Analyze and evaluate customer hydrostatic transmission and power control component and system needs, proposals, requirements and specifications in order to determine what steps the Company must take, both from a technical product engineering standpoint as well as a production standpoint, to provide the customer with a product, either new or from the Company's existing product line, that will precisely satisfy the customer's needs. Particular day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Develop designs, engineering schematics and manufacturing specifications for the manufacture, assembly and installation of hydrostatic power transmission and power control systems and their related components, including high torque motors, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic valves, braking systems and high-performance hydraulic pumps, for the construction, agricultural/forestry, on-and off-road material handling and related mobile equipment OEM markets.

• Provide expert engineering support during the OEM sales cycle, notably analyzing customer needs, designing and validating the best technical offer to the customer.

• Function as a central intermediary and interpreter for all questions and concerns from OEM customers that involve custom, precision sized, and application geared Poclain Hydraulics hydrostatic power transmission and power control systems, parts and components for heavy duty applications.

• Assist in the preparation of design specifications, installation instructions, operation manuals, and change orders for custom, precision sized, and application geared Poclain Hydraulics hydrostatic power transmission and power control systems, parts and components for heavy duty applications.

• Conduct performance, operational, structural and integration modeling and testing of precision sized and geared motor design proposals to determine compliance with customer and industry standards performance, quality, operational, structural and maintenance standards and requirements.

• Participate in all engineering phases of new product and/or modified product development, including research of concept and preliminary calculations, 3D modeling, 2D detailed drawing, DFMEA practices, validation planning/testing and tolerances stack up.

• Perform structural and other design calculations for new or modified product designs.

• Assist with the design, layout and detail drafting of drawings for use in fabrication and installation.

• Provide technical presentations to customer personnel, dealers and internal staff in order to showcase Poclain Hydraulics' specialized capabilities for Poclain Hydraulics hydrostatic power transmission and power control systems, parts and components for heavy duty applications.

• Formulate and recommend appropriate engineering changes to Poclain Hydraulics hydrostatic power transmission and power control systems, parts and components in order to continuously improve product quality, reliability, durability, efficiency and overall customer satisfaction as needed and to ensure consistency and symmetry with Poclain Hydraulics Group global standards and practices.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.

• One year of engineering or research experience involving the design, modeling, testing, and performance assessment of hydraulic fluid power in the operation of hydraulic pumps, motors or drives. Experience must have included utilization of MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, Automation Studio, and Ansys.

• Telecommuting benefit available but must reside within commuting distance of Poclain Hydraulics’ Sturtevant, WI, headquarters.

• Requires limited domestic (25%) and international (2%) travel.
